I have chosen to research leonardo Da Vinci because he is a well known artist, and he is just a very interesting person to do. Let's start off with a little of his biographical information. Leonardo was born in Wedlock in Vinci, Italy (just outside of Florence)
Because of Leonardo's illegitimate standings in the renaissance, he didn't receive a good education, and he was stopped from getting most jobs. But these setbacks never stopped Leonardo, actually, it made Leonardo work harder for what he achieved. At age 15 Leonardo became an apprentice for a painter, that's where his skills of an artist bloomed, even intimidated the artist he worked for. A change of scenery in 1482 brought out the invention side of Leonardo. Leonardo then moved to Milan, there he sold himself to a successful military leader called ''The dark one'' as a military engineer. Da Vinci spent 17 years working for ''The dark one'' in Milan, as a artist, sculptor, and studying science. This 17 years was Leonardo's most productive periods, but all good things must come to an end. In 1499 the french invaded Milan, and ''The dark one'' was sent fleeing the city. Da Vinci then spent his remaining years traveling from cities like Venice, to Rome to work on different projects shaping his art career. This is when he started his famous painting The Mona Lisa in 1503. He then continued his studies in anatomy, he conducted over 30 autopsies in his entire life. After living his life, Da Vinci died at the young age of 67 in 1519.
